Gold Metal Recyclers (GMR) was founded in 1976 by brothers Kenny and Neil Goldberg. From its humble beginnings with three employees on one-quarter acre of rented property, GMR has grown to a work force of 150 on its own sprawling 35-acre south Dallas property.
The mission of GMR was to create an environment of comfort and safety for its employees while providing its customers with a commitment of service and competitive prices. GMR is proud of the record it has had in regard to fulfilling this mission to its hundreds of employees and millions of customers over the past 30 years.
GMR recycles thousands of tons of scrap metal every year, which saves enormous amounts of natural resources. Material is bought from individuals allowing these customers to help create a source of income while being environmentally friendly through recycling. A major source of recyclable material also comes from GMR's industrial base of manufacturing companies who generate scrap through their process of fabricating metal products. These industrial customers have come to expect excellent service and prompt payment from GMR through its expansive fleet of trucks and equipment and experienced and dedicated staff. The third source of scrap material comes form other recycling companies who turn to GMR for marketing and financial support and expertise. These companies are located in the Dallas/Ft Worth area as well as from Mexico and more than 25 states across the United States.
GMR utilizes its experienced sales team to market its products to consumers globally. Hundreds of tons of recyclable metals are shipped from GMR everyday. This allows GMR to maintain competitive pricing to support its valued customers.
